Breaking Cycles. Building Futures.
Supporting women on their journey to financial empowerment with mentorship, accessible resources, and a thriving community network.
Financial Literacy Workshops
Financial freedom starts with knowledge. Our financial literacy programs teach real-world money skills from budgeting and saving to investing and building generational wealth. Understanding money isn’t a luxury; it’s a life skill. When a young woman understands her finances, she becomes unstoppable.
Education
At Joycelyn’s House, we believe education is the foundation of freedom. Whether it’s returning to school, learning a new trade, or understanding personal development, we provide young women with access to learning opportunities that empower them to rise above their circumstances.
Mentorship
Every young woman deserves someone in her corner. Through one-on-one mentorship and group coaching, Joycelyn’s House connects participants with role models who’ve walked the path before them. These relationships create a safe space to grow, ask questions, and build vision.

Why We Exist
Because too many girls are told their circumstances define them.
Because becoming a mother young or growing up without financial support shouldn’t mean giving up on your future.
Because one woman’s strength can light the way for generations.
Joycelyn’s House exists to break generational cycles of poverty, dependence, and silence.
We are here to give young women the tools, knowledge, and support they need to stand on their own and rise.
We exist because when one woman is empowered, an entire future changes.
In Loving Memory of Joycelyn McDermott
Some women leave behind more than memories—they leave a legacy that continues to shape lives for generations.
Joycelyn McDermott was one of those remarkable women. Through her love, strength, faith, and selfless spirit, she raised her children to lead with compassion, serve with purpose, and become a blessing to others. Her life was a quiet yet powerful example of grace in action, showing that true greatness is measured not by what we gain, but by the lives we touch.
Though she is no longer with us, her influence lives on through the values she instilled, the kindness she inspired, and the legacy carried forward by her family. Every act of generosity, every word of encouragement, and every life impacted by her children stands as a testament to the extraordinary woman she was.
Joycelyn’s story reminds us that the greatest gift a mother can give the world is to raise children who go on to make the world better for others.
“A mother’s greatest legacy is not what she leaves behind, but who she leaves behind.”
